This year’s Christmas was celebrated virtually. The Department of Mathematics celebrated Christmas 2020 in the name of “THE HO HO HOS“. The celebrations were coordinated by the 2nd years and was conducted with lots of unity and enjoyment. Few students went to college, according to allotted time slots, maintaining the Covid protocols. Decorations were done in a classroom by 3rd year students. The 1st years also joined us hand-in-hand for rendering a lovely Christmas Carol. A dance was performed by 2nd years, upbringing the Christmas spirit. All these were captured and edited. We released the video on 25h December 2020 through our YouTube channel. There were many competitions held as part of the Christmas celebration which follows intradepartmental:

 

Christmas Mask Making

 

Students were asked to make a Christmas Mask, click a photo and send in the g-mail account of the association. Best of them were given first, second and third prizes.

 

Christmas Card to Santa

Students were asked to create a Card to Santa click a photo and send in the g-mail account of the association. Prizes were given for the best.

 

Christmas Tree Decoration

 

Students were asked to decorate a Christmas Tree in their homes, click a photo and send in the g-mail account of the association. Prizes were given for the best.

 

Outcome:

Although everything was virtual, the celebration still succeeded in bringing happiness and joy to everyone. The opportunity to come back to college and shoot the celebrations gave the students to cherish their old Christmas celebrations.
