Talent Scan Examination aims to develop student’s interest in mathematics and to think out of the box. Apart from descriptive learning, students will learn objective type questions which will open up to a new phase of learning to them. The questions are set according to different levels of difficulties so that the students will get a chance for self-analysis. In association with Mathrubumi Study Circle Thiruvankulam, Nehru Yuva Kendra Bharata Sarkar and Department of Mathematics and Statistics of St. Teresa’s College Ernakulam, Sree P Ramdas Memorial Talent Scan Examination was conducted on 22nd November 2020, Sunday at 8am to 9am for the high school students. Aim of this exam is to nourish their mathematical knowledge. The exam was objective type. The questionnaire was prepared by the students of the college, from which high-quality questions were selected. These questions were combined with the guidance of efficient teachers. The prizes and certificates for top scorers were distributed on January 3rd 2021 by Smt Shanty B.P HOD of Statistics, at Mahatma Mathrubhumi study circle, Thiruvankulam.
Outcome of the Activity:
Talent Scan Examination helps the participants to recall their knowledge in maths and get familiar with the unknown questions. It develops logical reasoning in students and helps them to confidently appear in their upcoming board exams as well as inother competitive exams.The participants had to complete their tests on time, which develops their time management skills. This also enhances their skills in mathematical reasoning.
