The department of French was happy to welcome the crime writer Johana Gustawsson for a special online session with the students on 27.01.2025.

Johana Gustawsson is a French author, settled in Sweden where she writes crime novels. Her work includes a trilogy that has been translated in Malayalam and will be soon available in Kerala!

Some of her novels are also going to be adapted for French and Swedish television.

During her session, the writer shared her experience of writing. She described the different stages of the process to shape her characters, to build the narration and all the necessary research work she has to undergone in order to produce one book.

She insisted on the hardwork that is needed in writing, the happiness when she meets her readers and her enthusiasm was really contagious! Despite the session being conducted online, the students were actively participating, rendering this meeting a memorable one. We hope to see Johana soon in our department and wait for her next book to be released!
