The Department of Psychology, St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam organized a webinar My Story- Motivational Session by Successful Entrepreneur by Mrs. Jeena Kuruvilla, CEO of Kelachandra Wood Zone on 30th November 2021. The theme of the program was Entrepreneurship and the main objective of the program was to improve knowledge about entrepreneurship, to encourage self-employment, and inspire young women to become successful entrepreneurs. It also aimed to provide hope and clarity when circumstances become hard and discouraging and to build entrepreneurship skills in students. The webinar was held on the Google Meet platform.

Mrs. Jeena Kuruvilla inspired the participants with her story by sharing her varied and wide experiences in the business world. She created awareness about the concept of entrepreneurship and highlighted the key characteristics of entrepreneurs. Throughout the session, she pointed up the golden rule to the participants that opportunities must be searched for, rather than waiting. Every entrepreneur must have a definite idea about their products. Ignorance about the products is a major problem that can lead to the failure of the business. she stressed the importance of being updated about the business market and also highlighted the importance of identifying customer needs and wants by an entrepreneur. The session concluded after a Q&A session, in which students interacted with the resource person to learn different aspects of being an entrepreneur.

The program was attended by 151 students from the Department of Psychology and 6 faculty members.
