The notes of music are the chord to the heart of the universe and what is beyond it; what else could narrate complex emotions which are even beyond human comprehension? There was a symphony in the air, harmony in the minds, and smiles on the lips when the Department of French celebrated ‘Muzify’ (French Music festival) on 21st June 2021. During the fest, the Department proudly witnessed the students’ artistic prowess.

The cultural events in the French Music festival comprised of various musical as well as dance performances. Ms. Fathima Harsha, Ms. Sana Elizabeth, Ms. Mehzeen, Ms. Nikitha, Ms. Janaki Menon (second year BA French students), and Ms. Tancy (first-year MTTM student) enthralled the audience with their beauteous expo of euphony. Ms. Lena Wilson, Ms. Vyshnavi Anil Kumar, and Ms. Sree Muthulakshmi (second-year BA French students) enlivened the spectators with an elegant dance. However, the highlight of the day were the various games associated with music, namely, Catchy Beatz, Musical charades, Défi emoji, and Transify. Ms. Alanna Nicholas (faculty member), Ms. Himani, Ms. Parvathy, Ms. Gowri Babu, and Ms. Fadette (faculty member) emerged as the victors of each game respectively.

The audience was left with the notion that the celebration of music should not be reduced to a single day, and one should celebrate music, all day, every day, with every breath that one takes.
