I am extremely delighted to welcome you to St. Teresa’s College. A vision, which was planted by Sr. Teresa of Rose of Lima, our foundress and Mother, a women with extraordinary vision and foresight who believed that social transformation was possible through educating and empowering women.

We have been empowering and transforming lives since 1925 when the college was established in the heart of the Cochin city.  The college provides exciting educational opportunities for students from all backgrounds and locations. The faculty and staff are dedicated professionals who excel in connecting with students and providing an overall educational experience.

St. Teresa’s represents a way of life to the students, and creates a community of extended families and friends, fostering life long bonds, a shared sense of responsibility and reliance to each other.

Through the ebb and flow of time, the CSST Institute has remained steadfast in its commitment to the founding Charism—a beacon of faith, hope, and love that has guided us through every trial and triumph. As we celebrate the Centenary of St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), we pause to honour the visionaries who laid the foundation, the unsung heroes whose perseverance sustained us through challenges, and the current torchbearers who continue to innovate and inspire.

Rooted in the guiding spirit of our Mother Foundress, Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima, Servant of God, we echo her call: “Forward, Sisters, forward, we must give lead in everything.”

As we celebrate 100 glorious years of our St Teresa’s College (Autonomous) Ernakulam, I am overwhelmed with pride and gratitude for the remarkable journey we have travelled. A century ago, this Institution was envisioned as a beacon of empowerment, a place where young women would break barriers and redefine possibilities. Today, we stand as a testament to that vision, fostering generations of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Our legacy is built on the foundation of knowledge, resilience, and progress. Every student who walked through these gates has contributed to this legacy, shaping our College into not just an Institution, but a movement for women’s education and empowerment.

To our esteemed faculty, dedicated staff, and supportive community, thank you for your unwavering commitment. To our alumnae, you are the torchbearers of our mission, illuminating paths far and wide. And to our current students, the future is yours to seize—boldly, confidently, and with the spirit of excellence that defines our College.

St. Teresa’s, an embodiment of elegance, eminence, esteem and grandeur of the feminine, has emerged as a flagship academic institution, imparting holistic education, with a balanced blend of curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular, extension and outreach activities so as to address the manifold resources of students and their diverse social context.  We have a dedicated and professionally competent team of faculty members and support staff to help the students realize their aspirations to transform into accomplished, socially valuable and significant persons.

All the stakeholders of the College – the Board of Management by CSST congregation, Govt. agencies and functionaries, faculty and staff, students, parents, alumnae, retired staff and well-wishers – are deeply committed to uphold the values and ideals of this prestigious institution:  the tradition of excellence, the culture of empowerment and nurturing a civilization of love, as envisaged by our visionary predecessors, and as enshrined in the vision and mission statements.

At St. Teresa’s, due care is given to every student, and a plethora of opportunities are made available to them for actualization of their identities and talents, and optimal use of facilities and time. There are a host of avenues towards perfect articulation of skills in arts, literature and sports. The College has been accorded A++ grade by NAAC, and we are on course to scale greater heights, and all the stakeholders are involved in this process for the benefit of student community and the society at large.

Heading towards its centennial anniversary, St. Teresa’s College has been in the forefront providing an excellent ambience for Women’s education in the Country. Our strength encompasses the ever committed Management enlivening the mission of our foundress, the faculty dedicated to innovative education, the PTA with a positive involvement, the accomplished Alumni in all walks of life, the supportive public community and the highly motivated and enthusiastic students.
