Internships on Software Testing & Ethical Hacking

A 7 day internship program on “Software Testing” provided by STC Technologies, Ernakulam Kerala was organized by BCA(CT & ISM), dept. of Computer Applications from 02.11.2020 to 09.11.2020. The students of third year and second year BCA(CT & ISM) participated in the internship. Through this internship students gained both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in software testing. They were assigned with a project to test a hotel management software and generated the test cases as a report. The internship was indeed informative and interesting.

The internship on “Ethical Hacking and Penetration testing” was organized by BCA(CT & ISM) department of Computer Applications, St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam in association with STAC CYBERARK Private Limited under the guidance of master trainer Mrs. Suma R, from 10.11.2020 to 24.11.2020 for the third year students of BCA(CT & ISM) . Mrs Suma R, is a dedicated, experienced and skilled information security and Digital forensics Consultant/trainer with  more than 13 years of experience in the Information technology field. An EC- Council authorized trainer, certified and authorized to provide training for all EC-Council certification programs like CEH(certified Ethical Hacker), ECSA(EC council Certified Security Analyst), CFA(Certified Forensic Associate), EHA( Ethical hacking Associate).

Students found the vulnerabilities present in the pen-testing platforms provided to them using ethical hacking tools and techniques. They also succeeded in the usage of various techniques to find the vulnerabilities in different platforms.
