The Department of History and the Teresian  International wing of St. Teresa’s college organised a three day International seminar in the campus from 7th to 9th January 2019 on the topic “Art and Democracy -the political Aesthetics of the Contemporary Age. Prof.Vinay Lal of the University of California was the keynote speaker. Prof.Amelia Rauser  and Prof.Michael Clapper from Franklin and Marshall College,Pennsylvania and Prof.Claudia  Orenstein from Hunter College,City University of New York were the other resource persons.Ms.Anita Dube,curator of Kochi Muziris Biennale ,also participated in a panel discussion on the theme of the seminar along with the international speakers.Delegates from India and abroad  presented papers.Our students and faculty also presented papers.
