The English Association conducted an Intercollegiate quiz as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ to mark the 75th Independence Day. 170 teams of two from colleges around the country registered out of which 32 teams participated. The quiz took place in two rounds. 32 teams participated in the preliminary round where they answered 20 questions in 7 minutes through  google form circulated amongst the participants. From them, the top four teams were selected to compete in the second and final round, which took place via the Google Meet platform. The final round was divided into four sections including two audio visual rounds. Dr Maria Theresa Chakunny, the teacher in charge of the Association and the Quiz team was the Quiz master for the event. Manna Mariyam and Ardra. R. P from St John’s College, Anchal bagged the first place and a cash prize of Rs.3000 while Basil P Eldho and Anisha N A of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Kerala came in second place winning a cash prize of Rs.2000.
