The association of chemistry department has been inaugurated on 29th October, 2020 for the academic year of 2020-21 at Google meet by the chief guest Dr. Ajith James Jose, senate member of MG University and assistant professor department of chemistry SB college Changanaserry.

The inauguration started with the prayer song by Ayana sunny from second DC chemistry. Anusha john from second pg has delivered the cordial welcome address. The report of the activities of the association for the previous year was presented by Miss Liyana Nazrin(representative of previous association).

HOD Dr. Jaya T Varkey welcomed the chief guest with fragrance of flowers and also she introduced the new office bearers of the Chemistry association to the audience. Then Dr. Ajith James Jose inaugurated the function by virtual lamp lighting. The annual newsletter of the department ‘RASATHANTHRA – 2020’ edited by Dr. Annu Raju was released by Dr. Jaya T Varkey. 

Dr. Geetha Andrews, former HOD of our department and former controller of examination of our college has felicitated the gathering with her highly sparkling words. Dr. Saritha Chandran A., faculty member of chemistry department has introduced the honorable chief guest Dr. Ajith James Jose to the audience.He delivered a talk on “WHAT IS YOUR CALLING? Career opportunities in chemistry”. Angel Sara Pious from third DC chemistry delivered the vote of thanks to all including the HOD, and faculty advisors student representatives without whom this event wouldn’t have been possible. She thanked the chief guest for grating the occasion by his solemn presence and to all the students of the chemistry department who were the main ingredient of this function.
