Reimagining youth skills post-pandemic. “One of the best ways to learn new skills is by learning with your friends.” World Youth Skills Day is celebrated on July 15 every year to “celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.” The upskilling of the young minds start from our college which is increasingly important in light of the world. A dialogue with entrepreneurs, learn from their experience, and HEAR from those NEAR you! These skills are the weapons that can help you in overcoming any difficult situation.

As conveyed by Narendra Modi “The more we give importance to skill development. The more competent will be our youth.

Students from two batches BMS 2020-2023 and BMS 2021-2024 had a dialogue/interview with entrepreneurs in and around Cochin which gave them an opportunity to learn and get to know from their experiences. Seven groups met seven entrepreneurs! This interactive interview was very helpful for them to know adaptability, persistence, and hard work – are the keys to success!

Learning should be through exploration, investigation, and discovery. And these methods speak to this ethos of learning. By gaining an education through fun, creative ways, our students enjoyed, interacted, interviewed, and learned by developing their skills with the Entrepreneurs on this World Youth Skill Day!

KNOWLEDGE GAINED THROUGH EXPERIENCE IS FAR SUPERIOR AND MANY TIMES MORE USEFUL THAN BOOKISH KNOWLEDGE Mahatma Gandhi
