BCA (Cloud Technology and Information Security Management), Department of Computer Applications of St.Teresa’s College, Ernakulam had organised an online Hands on Workshop on ‘Cloud Computing with Amazon Web Services’ in association with Spectrum Softtech Solutions Pvt Ltd. The webinar was attended by the students and faculties of BCA from 2pm to 3pm on 20th January 2022.

The resource person for the event was Mr.Muhammed Shareef K, who is currently working as Linux Administrator and Trainer at Spectrum Softtech Solutions Pvt Ltd. He is an electronics and communication engineer having 6 years of experience in the IT field. He is a Red Hat Certified System Administrator and Red Hat Certified Engineer Version 8.

Beginning with the introduction about Spectrum Softtech Solutions, the students were exposed to the various benefits of cloud technology and how it could enhance the future of IT. Very shortly the session was followed by the demo representation of creating instances on Amazon Web Service (AWS) Management Console based on the Linux Application. The students were able to follow on the different types of instance creation and about how AWS could be managed on different operating system.

The last part of the session covered the topic on Linux and how it is very helpful for IT professionals. Red Hat Academy certification courses were also mentioned as to help the students to start their Linux Career. The students were requested to fill the feedback form following which they would be receiving their E- certificates. The webinar ended on a successful note as the students were highly grateful for the vast knowledge imparted on Cloud Technology.
