The Teresian Research and Consultancy Cell (TRACC) of St. Teresa’s College,
(Autonomous) Ernakulam has organised Guruvandanam, a program to honor the
research guides of the College and to felicitate its research scholars who secured Ph.D.
degree. The guest of Honour Prof. Sabu Thomas, Vice Chancellor of M G University, and
the chief guest Dr.Ignacimuthu S I, Director, Xavier Research Foundation, addressed the
gathering. They both spoke about the relevance of interdisciplinary research and
patenting. Currently 107 students are conducting research in various disciplines within
the college. As the college is approaching its centenary in 2025, the college envisages
strengthening its research activities through collaborations and student exchange. The
Principal Dr.Alphonsa Vijaya Joseph, College Director Rev. Sr. Emeline CSST, former
Principal Dr. Lizzy Mathew and program coordinator Dr.Thushara George spoke on the
occasion. The program was followed by a research presentation and progress evaluation
of all the students registered for Ph.D. in the research centres of the college.
