31th October 2020 was a memorable in the life of every fresher of chemistry batch 2020-23, of St.Teresa’s college Ernakulam. The purpose if “WITCH FEST 2020” was to welcome new student’s in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. It was a day where senior’s and junior’s bond and unite to celebrate being a teresian.

The theme of the party was “Halloween”. Black color was dominant throughout in the dress code creating a dark atmosphere. The celebration started at sharp 2:30 pm at the Google meet with a prayer song by sayoojya of II DC, invoking the heavenly blessings of God almighty. Angel Sara Pious, general secretary of chemistry association delivered a warm welcome address to the gathering. 

It was followed by a surprise element. A short video of our college campus created by seniors Aiswarya and Anusha under the guidance of Miss Rilu was presented on the screen. This made students exited about their campus life.

Senior students arranged many activities for freshers which include games where everyone got a chance to show their talent. The excitement augmented to a joyful high as cultural performances graced the occasion. 

valuating the active participation in the events,6 students (4 from UG 2 from PG)were selected to the final rounds of  Miss Fresher 2020.They came upon screen with their hidden talents for the ‘Talents Round’ .All students were impressive on their own way.

The most significant question and answer round went on very well, where some mind twisting questions were displayed on screen and most of them were able to tackle them very well. A dance performance was held after their, which provided the jury consisting of Dr. Ushamani and Dr. Saritha chandran, with sufficient time for deciding the results. Jyothika from I UG and Mishma Simon from I PG were declared   as Miss Fresher 2020, acknowledging the talent of our brimming buddies.  The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the first PG representative Arya Nair.

The Fresher’s day 2020 was filled with excitement, music, joy, enthusiasm, laughter, and happiness amidst the pandemic.
