There is no better tool than reading to widen the horizon of one’s mind.  Quality reading perfects a person. To promote reading among youth, the Department of French, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam conducted a French reading competition on 21st June 2021. The competition was conducted for the students of II. B.A.French, III. B.A.French, II. M.T.T.M and for the students who opted Common Course French. The challenge was to read one out of the two extracts proposed from the French books ‘Tu es trop grand, Georges !’ and ‘Le sac à sorcières.’ The winners were selected by the faculty of the Department, namely, Ms. Sabeena Bhaskar (H.O.D.), Ms. Sonia Maria Lobo, Ms. Alanna Nicholas, Ms. E.
