Stain the Stigma

The Department of Communicative English, St.Teresa’s College, Ernakulam takes great pleasure in organising ‘Stain the Stigma’, an awareness campaign on menstrual hygiene and the taboo associated with it; held by the students of Final Year Communicative English.
The campaign was launched on 18 December 2017, by RJ Joseph Annamkutty Jose. As part of the campaign, the students along with Resource Persons from reputed institutions have been conducting awareness sessions in selected schools and orphanages in and around the state. We also organized a fundraiser stand-up comedy show, ‘Chill with Gill’ with popular stand-up comedian and Bollywood actor Kanan Gill. The campaign saw an overwhelming response from people nationwide.
On 26 February 2018, at St Teresa’s College, Stain the Stigma takes its next step by handing over the proceeds from the fundraiser to deserving institutions which are in need of menstrual hygiene products. We will also take this opportunity to felicitate and express our gratitude to the resource persons who bolstered our campaign. We cordially invite you to join us for the event.
