Inauguration of Value Added Course- Chemistry in Everyday Life

The Department of Chemistry and Center for Research, St. Teresa’s College is launching a Value Added Course on Chemistry in Everyday Life for UG students. This course offers the theory and also offers hands on training in making products used in our every day lives like sanitizers, soaps, pain relief creams, dyes, detergents etc. This 36 hours course allows the students to appreciate the relevance of chemistry in the products used in our day to life, to motivate students to become entrepreneurs/join chemical industry, to impart knowledge in students to become “Train the Trainers” for the extension activities of the college in adopted villages. The course includes theory, hands on training sessions and industry visit.
The course will be led by Sri. Srijith VS, Director, Science Centre, Kodungalloor, Thrissur and the faculties of Chemistry department. The course will be inaugurated on 18th November 2022 at 9.30 am by Sri. Sriith VS.
