World Tourism Day Celebration: Renaître-2k21
Every year, World Tourism Day is commemorated on September 27th, with the object of raising awareness about covering the social, political, and economic contribution of tourism towards gaining the sustainable development goals. This year’s program, ‘Renaître- 2k21’ was organized by the Teresian French Department and Evergreen Tourism Club in association with DTPC Ernakulam, in its endeavour to accentuate the significance and momentousness of tourism as an apparatus for cultural enlightenment as well as global development.
The program spanned over three days, commencing on 27th of September and concluding on 29th.
Aside from webinars, an array of competitions, namely: Cultural dressing competition, Photography competition, and Travel movie quiz, was conducted to explore the creative and intellectual prowess of the students. The results of the same were announced after the webinar on the third and final day. In the cultural dressing competition, Sreemuthulakshmi M and Sana Elizabeth Varghese of second year BA French emerged as first and second prize winners respectively. In the photography competition, Fathima Harsha of second BA French was declared as winner, and Monica recieved the second prize. In the travel movie quiz, Azna and Aleena of first year BA French were recipients of first and second prize respectively.
