The budget analysis session organized by the Department of Economics and the Centre for Research on 9th February 2024 was a comprehensive exploration of the Interim Budget and State Budget. Held at the Arts Auditorium starting at 12:00, the event commenced with a brief introduction by Dr. Pearly Anthony O., who welcomed Dr. S. Muraleedharan , a visiting professor at KN Raj Centre, MG University.

Dr. S. Muraleedharan  engaged the audience in a thoughtful discussion, highlighting the merits and demerits of both the interim and state budgets. Emphasizing the importance of critical thinking, he encouraged students to delve into various articles and studies for a well-rounded understanding.

The detailed analysis of the State Budget was expertly presented by first-year MA Economics students Alfiya Abdul Salam, Ann Maria Alias, Fathima Fidha, Nikitha Margaret, and Parvathy Unnikrishnan. Following this, Mariya Elizabeth John and Anita K A, second-year MA Economics students, provided an insightful examination of the Interim Budget.
