RESOURCE PERSON: Dr Cynthia Parayil, Associate professor Raritan Valley Community College, New Jersey, USA.

The lecture was organized by Teresian International in collaboration with the Department of English and Centre for research and the Department of History. Throughout the lecture, Dr Cynthia talked about how to explore world history through language and cited carefully picked examples of how language affected a civilization throughout various periods of history. By the end of the session, the students became conscious that the idea of a universal language is temporary and that it is usually decided by the political power dynamics. The lecture was followed by a brief Q&A session.
