The Department of Psychology organized an International Seminar on Forensic Psychology for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The session was led by Ms. Arya Menon, Research Scholar and Faculty at Lincoln College, Malaysia. Following a warm welcome by Ms. Ann Joseph, Ms. Arya Menon delivered an engaging session covering key areas such as criminal profiling, narco-analysis, and the legal systems linked to forensic psychology. She also introduced techniques like the polygraph test and BEOSP used in deception detection. The seminar sparked lively discussions, with students raising questions on topics like the distinction between forensic and criminal psychology. The session provided students with valuable global perspectives and a deeper understanding of the scope and applications of forensic psychology.
