To understand the richness of algal growth and diversity in the coastal areas, a tour was undertaken by Dr. Lizzy Mathew and the Research Scholars of the Department to Kannur and Vizhinjam on 15/10/2015 and on 25/10/2015. Ample varieties of algal samples were collected for research purposes.
