Republic Day is a National holiday. Celebrated on 26th January in every year to remember the day when the constitution of India came into effect after gained independence after a very long freedom struggle. And there is  conducting a very huge celebrations like Grand parade at Rajpath showcasing might of India armed forces and cultural heritage of  Indian president . The Department of Psychology conducted the 72nd Republic Day Celebration on 26th Jan 2021, by hosting an online program coupled with a number of in-house competitions for students to instill a sense of patriotism and to acknowledge the day that the Constitution of India came into effect.

The 72nd Republic Day Celebration  program was held on 20th January on Google Meet and the UG and PG students actively participated in the program. Republic day Competitions including  Debate, Essay Writing, Quiz, and Patriotic Song were conducted for the students.
The winners of the 72nd  Republic Day Celebration competitions are
I . Quiz Competition – Fathima Muhammed Hussain & Ahsana Sameera (1st DC Psychology)
II. Patriotic Song – Devika (1st DC Psychology)
III. Essay Writing on the topic -“Patriotism: An Emotion” – Ms. Nineesha Shankar (2nd Dc Psychology)
IV. Debate on the topic – Has the Constitution failed or have we? – Ms. Nivya Sabu (2nd DC), Ms. Mary Ann Frank (3rd DC) and Ms. Esha Paul (1st DC).
Reshma, 1st DC (Psychology) and Executive member of TAPS, also enthralled the gathering with a patriotic dance.
