The Department of Food Processing Technology, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam,
celebrated the 26 th edition of National Reading Day to honor the life and works of late Mr.
P.N. Panicker, the Father of India’s library movements. Amidst the pandemic, the department
took the initiative to conduct an Inter Class Competitions. The event was named as Vayanakalari. Essay writing competition was conducted on 23rd of June 2021 through Google meet platform. The winners of the Vayanalakari Essay Writing competition are Ms. Minna Miriya
Cemarajh (II DC) who acquired first position, followed by Ms. Aishwarya (II DC) who
acquired the second and Ms. Gopika Narayanan (III DC) who was positioned third. All
participants were given a Certificate of Appreciation for their creative writing skills.
The Story telling competition was conducted on 24th June 2021 at 2.30 pm through Google Meet. The winners of the Vayanalakari story telling competition are Ms. Carmela Sindhya O.J
(I PG) who acquired first position, followed by Ms. Hisana Thasnim (III DC) who acquired the second. All participants were given a Certificate of Appreciation for their noteworthy
performance.
