The Department of Commerce (Self- financing) hosted a career guidance webinar “It’s time to be Professional” on 19th June 2021. The session was scheduled at 12.00 pm through Google meet platform. CA. Jomon K George FCA, Former Chairman of SIRC of ICAI was the guest speaker for the event.
The formal inauguration of the commerce society was done by CA. Renjith R Warrier, Chairman, Ernakulam branch of SIRC of ICAI. The official logo of the commerce society was launched.
The session was largely focused on the transformation the commerce society needs to go through in order to face the real challenges in the world. He insisted that the students should inculcate the essential professional skills that will enable them to succeed. The various career opportunities available for a Chartered Accountant were also discussed. He highlighted the instrumental role that ICAI have played in the economic advancement of the country.
