NATIONAL WEBINAR ON WORLD MILK DAY- JUNE 01 2021

 

 

 

 

The Department of Food Processing Technology at St.Teresa’s College (autonomous) celebrated World Milk Day on June 01, 2021 by conducting a national webinar on the topic “ Advances in Dairy and food preservation and Processing”. The resource person invited for this programme was Dr. Preeti Birwal, Scientist in Department of Processing and Food Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab.  The webinar was a very informative session as topics such as processing steps involved in dairy industries, their revenues and income, the different products available, were discussed. It was more enlightening and innovative as Dr. Preeti discussed on the various aspects that need to be looked into while starting up a dairy industry along with the constraints and challenges involved by use of case studies and examples. The talk was open to all the students and staff of the college and there were almost 80 attendees. The webinar was quite an illuminating one that ended with an open interactive session where students could interact with the expert and clear their queries.
