The Department of Home Science and B. VOC Food Processing Technology in association with Nestle India Pvt. Ltd. Organized a competition on “KITCHEN MASTER” on the Google Meet platform from 22nd to 26th October 2020. In this competition, there were two rounds. Round 1: prepare and innovate a product using Maggie coconut milk powder and shortlisted 6 candidates for the final round, Round 2: the short-listed candidate where prepare their dish at the google meet platform from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on 26th October 2020. The guest was Ms. Felina Eric, and the program coordinator was Ms. Sera Paul Thengungal.

The “kitchen master” competition helps students to analyze their cooking skills. Students get confidence by presenting their recipes. Cooking is an essential life skill, and by these competitions, they get a good platform to present their skills. Hence, these competitions lead to innovating healthy food and a good lifestyle. So, cooking competition helps young talents to learn self-management from menu planning to better service.
