WEBINAR ON- SAFE FOOD FOR A HEALTHY TOMORROW

World Food Safety day is celebrated on June 7 globally. In connection with the day, The Department of Food Processing Technology, organized a webinar on “Safe Food Today For A Healthy Tomorrow” on June 10th. Dr. Sanjeev S. ,( Retd. Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFT) was the speaker. He gave a very good talk on food poisoning, emphasizing the causative organisms and the methods to prevent food poisoning. The event was  held through Google Meet on June 10, 2021 at 2.30pm.

More than 100 participants were present for the webinar and they included students across the country. The webinar was very informative and was well appreciated by the participants.

As part of the food safety day celebration a video providing awareness on food safety was released. The video explains the food borne illness and danger zone of food. The students also demonstrates the 4 keys to food safety recommended by WHO. To watch the video click here.
