On 30 October, 2020, the Department of Botany and Centre for research held the Association Inauguration and the Fresher’s Day Celebrations titled “Witch Hazels 2020” over Google Meet at 5:00 pm. The event was attended by almost 130 participants including the students and the staff. The Botany Association 2020 was inaugurated by Dr Sheela D, Retired Associate Professor and Research Guide and the gathering was also addressed by Dr Lizzy Mathew, Principal, St.Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam and by the Head of the Department, Dr Alphonsa Vijaya Joseph. The inauguration was followed by the commencement of the Halloween themed Fresher’s Day Celebrations. The freshers of UG and PG were warmly welcomed and participated in various games organized by the Association. The event came to a close at 7:00 pm.
