“HEALTHY ART- HEALTHY LIFE”

The students of The Department of Fashion Designing and The Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam initiated the wall paintings on the walls of Little Flower U.P.School, Pottakuzhy with an aim to inspire the young children of the school who are the future of the country. The knowledge regarding the importance of nutrition in their daily life was depicted on the walls in the form of their favorite cartoon characters. The students can easily understand the importance of green leafy vegetables, milk, egg, carrot etc.. when they look into these paintings.

These paintings will ingrain in the students the benefits of vegetables and fruits, of having a balanced diet and what the harmful effects of fast foods at very early stage. The concepts of basic mathematics shapes are also incorporated into these paintings.

This project is an effort to develop health conscious younger generation who will also pass on this knowledge to others which will be an act of social commitment.

This is a dream project of Ms. Maria Lilly K.G, the Headmistress of school who puts in all her efforts to the overall development of the children studying in the school.
