1. As a part of the first activity of Teresian Rural Outreach Programme (TROP) for the academic
    year 2019-20 and in order to sanctify World Environmental Day observed on June 5 every year,
    a guava sapling was planted in St Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Vallarpadam located in the
    outskirts of the city, on 14 June, 2019. A small group consisting of two students—Kadeeja Ferin
    Ismail V and Fiza Ziyad and a faculty Ms. Chaithanya V—all belonging to the Department of
    Communicative English, St Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, participated in the activity. The faculty
    and students of the school were extremely cordial and helpful and the sapling was planted in a
    ground next to the school compound, assigned exclusively for vegetation purposes by the school
    authority. Besides, as a token of gratitude, the school authority gifted a sapling form its herbal
    garden to the College.

St.Teresa’s College, a pioneering institution in the field of Higher Education in India, was established on 15th June in the year 1925, as the first Women’s College of the erstwhile Cochin State and the second in the whole of Kerala by the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St.Teresa.
