Nimitha R. Chandran (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology),  and the students C.V. Anusree of III DC and Elizabeth Babu of II DC jointly conducted an awareness program on the ‘Importance of Vitamin C on Health’ at Cochin College on 25th August 2011. The talk was very interesting and informative. Since speakers explained everything through powerpoint presentations, it became easy for everyone to understand.

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that dissolves in water.  The excess or leftover vitamin C in your body will be excreted through urine. It is not getting stored in your body. Hence the need of vitamin C is constantly required and you should balance your diet for that. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient that is needed for normal growth and development.
