The Department organised a health survey at Udaya Colony as a Social Sensitisation programme. A group of 60 students from II nd year and Ist year UG Botany classes visited Udaya Colony at Indira Nagar, Behind South Railway Station, Ernakulam, on 14/12/2017 as part of their outreach and extension programme. The students split into 10 groups of 6 each and surveyed the colony consisting of 80 families. They collected general information regarding the number of members in the family, their occupation and health issues faced by them. They also distributed some towels, toiletries, sanitary napkins, pulses, sugar etc. that was collected from the students of the Department.
