Presentation of Indian Costumes from the Historical Periods

The second year B.Sc Apparel and Fashion Design students organized a fashion show depicting the costumes and accessories of the historical periods of India. The historical periods like Mauryan & Sunga Period, Satavahana Period, Kushan Period, Gupta Period, Mughal Period, British Period were taken. The students were divided into groups and they draped the traditional costumes and accessories of the period, choreographed, and presented a show with a detailed PPT presentation of the historical period.

The students were able to understand the different types of costumes and accessories used by the then people of the various Indian historical periods. The assignment also gave an insight on how to organize a fashion show and importance of teamwork in a group activity.
