The Department of Botany and Centre for Research paid send-off to Mrs. Seena Teresa (Sini chechi), Laboratory Assistant on 13th of October, 2023 in the Arts Auditorium at 1.00 pm. Dr. Alphonsa Vijaya Jospeh, Principal, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, Dr. Romly Margaret Mendez, Dean of Examinations, Head of Department, Dr. Liza Jacob, Botany Association staff advisor Dr. Aghil Soorya A, teachers of the department, B.Sc. and M.Sc. students and research scholars of the department attended the program. Alumni teachers graced the celebration with their presence. The program was conducted in the hall decorated with reusable lights and lamps. The program started with a prayer song by Ms. Ananya of II PG, followed by a welcome speech by Ms. Anupama of II DC. Beautiful memories of Sini chechi and a heartfelt gratitude was delivered by the Principal, Head of the Department and a representative from Association, Ms. Siyan Maria Shaji. A gratifying speech was delivered by Sini chechi that moved the hearts of all the audience. A token of love from our hearts were gifted to her by the Association Executive members and different class students. The official function concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Suhaha Kabeer of I DC. 13 stunning cultural performances of students were presented During the as their token of love towards Sini chechi.
