The Department of French celebrated Epiphany on 16th January 2020 at 2:30 pm. Ms. Sabeena Bhaskar, Head of the Department of French, addressed the gathering emphasizing the importance of actively coming together to participate in such events with a sense of oneness and unity.  Ms. Fadette Badie d’ Arcis, the Foreign Faculty of the Department shared her experiences of the Epiphany celebrations in France. Gauri Mithran, Hiba Anub and Anjana. S. Kumar delivered a presentation on Epiphany to provide further insight on the traditions like the Three King Cake during this celebration. The most awaited and exciting was the cake cutting ceremony which was celebrated by the Department just like it is celebrated in France.  The ‘queen’ for this year turned out to be Senorita D’Silva who got the piece of cake with the hidden figurine in it . The function came to a close with the National Anthem.
