Entrepreneurial Leadership: Lessons from my Journey by Ms. Anupama Roy

As part of its Power Talk Series, the Department of Management Studies organized an awe-inspiring session for its First-Year BMS (International Business) students on the topic “Entrepreneurial Leadership: Lessons from my Journey”, on 29th September 2020. The hour-long session was taken by Ms. Anupama Roy, Founder and Creative Head of Blocks and Prints, a leading designer store in Ernakulam, Kerala. The talk dealt with Entrepreneurial Leadership that can be inculcated by students from early stages and how one may work towards the same towards success. She primarily motivated the student community with practical and realistic tips such as – have a clear business plan, take up risks, manage energy more than time, and to never give up on what we start, amongst many more. These tips served as the foundational pillars for capacity building that she insisted on continuing to be aware to turn oneself into a successful entrepreneur. Ms. Anupama was very vocal about pursuing one’s true passion, no matter the challenges or hurdles. Her words served as a strong motivation to many upcoming and novice entrepreneurs within the student participants, leaving them inspired to work tirelessly towards their entrepreneurial dreams.
