The formal inauguration of the Botany Association was held on 4/7/2017. The activities of the association were declared inaugurated by Dr. C M Joy, Associate Professor in Botany (Retd.), S H College, Thevera. Dr. Joy addressed the students on ‘The Scope and Future prospects in Plant Sciences.’ Through his talk, he inspired the students to love and develop passion for the subject highlighting the varied scope and career paths that the students could take up with a graduation in Botany. The Department also extended a warm welcome to the first year UG and PG students by celebrating the freshers day followed by various entertainment programmes.
