Webinar on The Psychology of Investing

Financial literacy empowers women to make independent decisions. Be it an emergency, unforeseen circumstances or unfortunate events, financial literacy allows women to rebuild their life on their own terms.
To embrace this concept as well as to introduce the students to a new field of Psychology, the Department of Psychology held a webinar on “Investment Behavior – The Psychology of Investing” on 26th May 2021 on Google Meet from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Banking Consultant and Trainer, Mr Subramoniam, also the Former Chief Manager of SBI and presently the Director of Krishnapriya Institute of Banking Studies and Management Research enriched the B.Sc and M.Sc students on financial literacy, the psychology of the rich and poor as well gave insights on the various investment and savings options available. He also spoke about the basics of behavioral finance. A total of 70 students attended the program with 6 faculty members.
