The Department of Zoology in association with VLCC Institute of Beauty and Nutrition, Kerala, conducted an informative session on Skin Care and Job Options applicable to college students. The session was conducted on 20th December, 2016 for the 3rd year students. The session commenced with an introductory speech by Ms Rajalaksmi, Head of VLCC Institute, Kochi followed by a skin care programme by Dr. Reshma Jaffer, Consultant dermatologist at VLCC. Two students studying at the institute shared their advice and tips on how to protect one’s skin. The session further focused on the demerits of private jobs and how such jobs can have an ill effect on our skin as a result of stress. They further introduced a beautician course that last for 6 months. The session concluded with a questionnaire session in which some students had the privilege of receiving VLCC kits containing skin care products.
