As a part of the Teresian Rural Outreach Programme students from the Department of Mathematics visited the Njarackal Panchayat of Ernakulam district on 05th February 2019. Students of first year Mathematics visited the village to give the villagers awareness on“Banking- merits, demerits, cautions, problems etc”.

Students gave the villagers idea about how to use ATM credit cards, debit cards and visa cards. The villagers were also given ideas regarding the cheatings taking place in the banking sectors and how to be safe from these cheatings and save their money.

The class was of interactive type and the villagers had a good response to the questions asked and they were happy with the class.
