The TROP activities for the academic year 2017-18 was inaugurated by Mr. K. S. Mohammed, President, Varapuzha Grama Panchayath. The TROP coordinators of the department were Ms. Elizabth Mary P.A and Ms. Rani Maria Cyriac.

The first activity was to clean the local road and premises of Varapuzha Grama Panchayath office. The ward members and the president and the residents guided the students. Students also interacted with the waste pickers and helped them in doing their job.

The second session of the TROP activities was held on the month of August 18th 2017. The session was held at St. Joseph’s convent, Varapuzha. The students visited the convent and interacted with the residents. Students also gifted the orphanage with a small library of 50 books, which included 16 magazines, 7-english books, 24-malayalam books, 2-hindi books and an Oxford Dictionary. The students arranged  a paper bag making and jewellery making session for the girls of the convent.

The students held the programme at Marian Sneha Vihar, Varapuzha. The institution is basically an institution for differently abled people. The students presented various entertainment programmes which lightened the mood. The students gifted the residents with snacks and enjoyed it with them. The students also packed lunch for them and gifted them with a delicious lunch. The parents also supported the students in this activity.

The fourth session of the TROP activity of the year was organised at Karunalayam, Fortkochi, an institute for the mentally and physically challenged. The students organized performed carols. Santa surprised them with many gifts and entertained them. Students spend their whole day along with them.They served them food and also took care of them. They played games and made their day.The event also was a great spiritual experience for students as well as the teachers who accompanied them.
