VENUE: LTGLPS, Ochanthuruth, Vypeen

CLASSES: 4th, 5th and 6th

DATES: 13th and 14th January 2017

OBJECTIVE: Our main objectives were to teach the students in an interactive manner so as to instill confidence in them and improve their skills and knowledge of the English language.

NEED OF THE PLACE:  To teach the kids subjects like English, Science, Social Science and Mathematics and various aspects related to these through an interactive session.

ACTIVITIES: We indulged them in a series of activities which they enjoyed thoroughly and showed active participation. There were quick quiz sessions, drawing and painting sessions, watching animated movies and giving the students’ perspectives and other activities like singing and dancing were also included

REMARKS: The students were very sweet and a little mischievous, but they were manageable. They grasped the new topics quite quickly and were very interactive. It was a really good experience for all of us that we got a chance to teach these students.

FEEDBACK:  The students loved the classes because it was a fun learning process. They didn’t feel disinterested as there were both studies as well as games. They were also very keen and enthusiastic to do their lessons.

EXPERIENCE: First experience as a teacher was very challenging as well as exciting. It was a learning process for us. We learned the way in which we should handle kids and teach them. We also got an opportunity to write a script for their annual day play. We got to mingle with children, got to know their level, enhanced their command in the language and increased their confidence. Teaching those kids gave us an unforgettable experience and mental satisfaction. We taught them and we learned a lot from them too. Teaching is complex. One has to possess a complete dedication to be a good teacher. This is something that we all learned from our experience.
