TRAINING PROGRAMME on Art of Floral Decorations

A training programme on ‘Art of Floral Decorations’ was conducted on 14^th November 2018, to enable the final year students of the Degree of Home Science, to get hands on experience on the Fine Art of Flower Arrangements. This will enable them to enrich their interiors naturally as well as be professional florists. It can also pave way to entrepreneurial ventures. The training programme commenced at 9.30 am in the final year class room. A large table was laid with all the tools and materials for the session and a power point presentation was also prepared to give supportive information. A number of arrangements brought by the resource person for display purpose were arranged on display stand to one side of the class room. A basic introduction on the art of arranging flowers and purposes of the skill was presented with the help of ICT tool. Ms. Jaya first demonstrated a basic line arrangement along with dictation of notes. After that the students were distributed materials required for a basic arrangement and hands on training started.
