THIRIKE- Alumni Representative Meet

The annual alumni representative meet of the department of chemistry “THIRIKE” was organized on 15th November 2020. The event started around 4 PM at Google meet.  Alumni representatives of different batches ranging from year 1967 to 2020 attended the Google meet. We conducted the Google meet to discuss about the activities that could be taken up by the alumni as part of centenary celebrations.

Retired teachers graced the meet with their presence. The alumni also shared their experiences in their college days and their journey from student to the present. The main aim of Alumni Day celebration was to unite maximum number of ex-students and register them in the Alumni family. 

Dr. Geetha Andrews, former HOD of our department and former controller of examination of our college made the opening welcome statement on behalf of the Organizing Committee.

HOD Dr. Jaya T varkey briefed about the Centenary celebrations and introduced the programs that could be organised by the alumni, as part of it. Dr. Ushamani M felicitated the gathering which was followed by an interactive session where the alumni representatives from different batches expressed their ideas on how to organize the activities in connection with the function. 

Around 36 people attended the meet and gave their valuable feedback and suggestions for the betterment of department and Alumni Association. It was an incredible reunion of alumni, students, faculty and staff members.  

The event at the Google meet was a great success in its prime motive of Connecting and Networking the alumnus and the present management, faculty and some of the final year students. The session was concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Saritha Chandran A., department faculty member.
