The department of mathematics and statistics organized a seminar on Human Rights on 22nd June 2023. Ms.Geethu Sachithanand, final year law student at Symbiosis Law School Nagpur handled the session. The speaker talked about the evolution of human rights – how it was during British colonization and how no one knew of their own rights. She explained about fundamental human rights. Students were made to do activities and were shown videos to better understand the same. She also spoke about The Water Act 1974, The Air Act 1981, The Environment (Protection) Act 1986, UNESCO, etc.  

Students were made aware of their rights. Students learned about The Environment Act and its importance.
