A one day seminar on GC-MS, LC-MS and NMR spectroscopy was organised by the Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS) in association with the department of chemistry on 22nd September, 2017.  The focus was on basics, technology and applications of the three important analytical techniques which are widely used in chemical, photochemical industry, food and pharmaceutical analysis, clinical diagnostics, agriculture, pesticide residue analysis, forensics and a variety of other fields. Dr.Ramakrishnan, President, Chromatographic Society of India, Mumbai delivered a lecture on the topic GC-MS and LC-MS. Dr.Prathapan, Associate Professor, Department of Applied Chemistry, CUSAT gave a talk on NMR Spectroscopy.
