Representation and Misrepresentation of Queer in Indian Cinema: National Seminar

The department conducted a one day National Seminar on Representation and Misrepresentation of queer in Indian Cinema on 28th November, 2020. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Kaustav Bhakshi, Asst. Professor, Department of English, Jadavpur University. This was followed by a panel discussion and paper presentations. The panel included Kani Kusruti, actress; Sridhar Rangayan, filmmaker; Vijayarajamallika, Poet and activist and Prijith P.K., founder of Queerythm. 

The seminar acted as a platform for healthy discussion on matters related to the representation of Queer communities. Papers on the subject were also presented.
