The Department of Fashion Designing organised an International Seminar on “Poetics of Art and Media on Fashion” on 21st February 2019 at Seminar Hall, Science Block, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam. The inter college seminar was opened to many students, teachers, professionals etc.. and over 90 people participated from outside the college.
The main aim of seminar was to make people understand the influence of art and media on fashion and current trends. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Sr. Vinitha, Director, St.Teresa’ College and was followed by the fruitful sessions of 2 international resource persons Dr. Michael Clapper– Associate Professor of art History,Franklin & Marshall College and Dr. Amelia Rauser– Professor of Art History, Franklin and Mshall College, national resource person Mr Shelton Pinheiro-Executive Creative Director, Stark Communications Kochi, Trivandrum, Bengaluru, Hyderabad & New Delhi, Dr. Beena Job, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English and Dr. Latha Nair R, Associate Professor, Department of English.
