The Association of the Department of English and Centre for Research commenced its annual literary fest, Panache2020 on 1st February, 2020. The department welcomed Mr Roshan Mathew, Film actor and Theatre Artist and Mr. P R Arun, Film Director as chief guests for the event.  The theme focussed on breaking stereotypes to “Shatter the Mould” of societal expectations. Body positivity, LGBTQ acceptance and gender roles were the focal points to create awareness on these social constructs and spread the message of self love.

The curtain raiser followed by the inauguration had the guests address the audience and the logo launch. The fest conducted theme based competitions- four onstage ( Drama, A cappella, mock press and fashion show) and six off stage ( quiz, debate, poetry translation, photography, comic strip and surprise event). The valedictory function was held at 4PM and Sacred Heart,Thevara won the ever rolling trophy.
